PH MeterPH meters are an electrical device used to
gauge a solution's acidity or alkalinity. The voltage or potential difference
between a reference electrode and a pH-sensitive electrode, which is often a
glass electrode, is how these tools work. Using a formula or calibration curve,
the voltage difference between the two electrodes is translated into a pH
value. To determine the pH of diverse solutions, such as soil, water, and
biological fluids, pH metres are used in the fields of chemistry, biology,
agriculture, and environmental science. They are used in research and quality
control labs as well as in industrial processes. |
